Michael Ferrell
of
Tejas Design & Home Planning |
Michael R. Ferrell, one time AIBD president and founder of Tejas Design Group, is a
born and bred native Texan. He majored in Architecture at the University of
Texas. Michael has lived on all three coasts, (Gulf, Pacific,
and Atlantic) in the mountains (Rockies, Sierras, and Blue Ridge) and the
bad lands of New Mexico. This has given him a rich diversity of
architectural experiences from which to draw. His forty years experience in
residential design gives him a unique perspective on what works well and
makes your home a warm and fuzzy place to live, work, and entertain.
The majority of his work has been in the high-end luxury home market in the Dallas
and Northern Virginia areas. (References available upon request.) Michael
also spent some time in the commercial design field. He has designed
structures around the world, including South America, Mexico, Canada, Sandia
Arabia, Egypt, Israel, Australia, Poland, India and even in the little
country of Moldavia.
Michael Ferrell was a two-term President of the Virginia Society of the
American Institute of Building Design. He was also on the State and National
Board of Directors. Mike was listed in Who's Who in Texas and is currently
listed in the National Register's Who's Who in Executives and Professionals. He is an
active Mason and holds the KYCH in the York Rite. A true renaissance man, his interest are broad and diverse and
include Music, (guitar and bass) Art, (watercolour and oils) Sculpture,
(clay) Landscaping and Gardening, History, Science, Sailing, etc.
